In 2003 he started photography, as a hobby, and has developed a passion for capturing the beauty of the surroundings on film. Several of his photos have won awards, including two on calendars for Hercules, Inc. for the calendar years 2003 and 2004. The Brantley County Chamber of Commerce has used some of his work for its Welcome to Brantley County brochure for tourism.
